We are a collective of five object makers from New Zealand who share an interest in the archaeology of urban environments.
Our artistic practice is informed by the aesthetics of artefacts, the fictional and factual narratives surrounding such objects, and the tools, materials and methods used in their creation.
We established the Urban Archaeology Collective (UAC) in 2005 and it acts as a forum for us to exchange information, discuss and critique conceptual directions and also to collaborate and participate in practical exploration together.
